Here's a Story for you...
My girl "Tippy" This is me at 7 years old I want to be an artist when I grow up"
Mommy Let's Play
Look at my doggies in the window Tippy lost her favorite racketball in the branches of this tree and she got on the rock wall to get it. She is a bit obsessive about ball play. Time to Walk
A long long time ago ok it is not a fairy tale. My name is... Ana Llaurado and I have been an artist since I was 9 years old. I graduated as a commercial artist but I was not happy with that kind of work after a while.I found that I did enjoy painting animals. I wanted to have my own business and liked making stuff with clay and wood. I started the company in 1992. It was to be a store that would carry clay and wood items that I would make. That's why the name of my company is: Claywood Creations, Inc. Well fate made me change my plans to doorstops. I had done an unusual dog house for my dog to protect him from the rain and the sun when I would leave her out to play. A local pet store owner saw it and wanted to carry it in her store. She was doing a pet trade show and I helped her with the set up so she offered to take any product I made to the trade show with her. Doghouses are too big so I started thinking about what product I could make and I asked myself what does a dog lover want and love? Answer: Their dog. So I came up with a flat dog with a purpose. A doggie doorstop. Since 1993 I have been making "Life Like Doggie Doorstops" exclusively. I am happy that my customers enjoy my doggie doorstops, some of my wonderful customers write me and tell me where they place them in their homes and I even had a couple that could not decide where to put it, the wife wanted the doorstop in the living room and the husband in the bedroom so the husband would move it and in the morning the wife would move it back to where she wanted it so after a lot of back and forth they called me back and ordered another so each could move their doggies where they wanted them. It's been a lot of fun and have met wonderful dog owners so I look forward to hopefully adding you to my experience of making a doggie for you or owning one of my one of a kind folk art and I also look forward to adding more breeds as I grow and adding many other types of doggie products in the future. Keep coming back to my site to check what is new. Roam around my website and check out what I make, you can email me for questions and also if you like I can add you to my contact list to keep you informed with any new items I create. Enjoy your visit. Ana Llaurado "Artist " P.S. I never got around to the clay part. So it really is just wood items for now. And if you are wondering who is the handsome fellow on top of my logo he is my kitty "Harry" I couldn't ignore him. My website is all dogs I just had to put him somewhere. My Dog "Tippy " is a doggie with lot's of attitude. She rules me. I am afraid she is the boss. |
